Escaping polar bears
If you don’t live in Alaska, then polar bear attacks are probably the least of your worries. After all, we have moose, geese, and children to worry about in urban settings. Anyway, if you travel to Alaska or another part of the globe with polar bears, you should know how to react when one comes charging at you.
First, run like the wind in the opposite direction. Second, toss your bag or supplies to lighten your load (you can pick them back up when the coast is clear, if they’re still there). Third, take off your shirt and toss it onto the ground. This will hopefully distract the polar bear enough so that it lets you run away shirtless. If that doesn’t work, your pants are next. It’ll be soiled anyway.
