Imaginary Magenta
Ladies and gentlemen, our entire lives have been one gigantic lie. It turns out that we can’t always believe what we see. If your favorite color is magenta, we hate to break it to you, but you’ve fallen in love with an imaginary color. Thanks, science, for ruining it for us.
Apparently, magenta doesn’t have its own wavelength. When our eyes perceive two equal red and violet tinges, they just average them to fabricated a color for our brains to understand.
