Time is a Crazy Thing
Our minds experience technical difficulties when perceiving time, especially when we use well-known figures as time “landmarks.” To illustrate, Martin Luther King, Jr., one of the leaders of the American Civil Rights Movement and expert pool player, was born in the same year as Anne Frank (both in 1929). Don’t tell us that this fact didn’t wrinkle your brain just a tiny bit.
Then we have Betty White, who famously hunted down Homer Simpson for his failure to donate to PBS, who was already seven years old when MLK and Anne Frank were just babies. And they say that the Queen of England is immortal…
