5. Walt Disney’s Fantasia
Still to this day considered as a turning point in animation history, Released in 1940, Fantasia was Walt Disney’s most aspiring project until this point. Using the full Philadelphia Orchestra, Conducted by Leopold Stokowski, inside the Disney studio and innovative and astonishing matching animation sequences, represented Disney’s boldest experiment to date and it was a me it or break it point for the studio. It was later said the whole project was an attempt to enhance the Micky Mouse character. The gamble was successful and the rest his history.
For years there’s an argument of the true value of various Disney VHS tapes. In this case I think there is an agreement it’s a true classic. This particular 1991 VHS is listed on eBay, as of 2019, for $11,000. The seller indicates that the tape is used but in good condition.
