Wind-up Toys
In the 15th century, the German inventor Karl Good initially invented the mechanical fly and eagle, and wind-up toys appeared. In the XVI and XVII centuries later, tall, toy-sized auto figures with wind up motors used for live motions were made.
At the turn of the 18th century, wind-up toys were being forced across Germany and started mass-producing tin models in the 19th century. During the Industrial Revolution, this led to a massive influx of tin windup toys into America. In 2012, Bertoia Auctions sold an odd wind-up toy boat from Marklin for $264500.
