Some places in the world aren’t particular fans of gender equality. For instance, dudes can go watch soccer matches at the stadium while women are spared from 90-plus minutes of this unentertaining form of sport. For some reason, these Iranian women like watching soccer matches, and in order to get into the stadium, they had to be a bit creative.

In creative, we mean they cross-dressed and put on fake beards and wigs. They made it past security who were enforcing a law that “protects women against a masculine atmosphere.” The story takes a pretty dark turn after this, but it also sparked a worldwide protest against this discriminatory policy.
