Sheryl Crow
Singer Sheryl Crow is the daughter of two musician, so it’s no surprise she ended up in the same field. Her father played the trumpet and her mother was a piano teacher, and so Sheryl grew up surrounded by music. In college, naturally, she studied music composition, performance and education. upon her graduation, Crow worked as an elementary school music teacher.
This was only her temporary job on her way to achieve her dream, and only few people are lucky enough to have a temporary job that is even remotely related to their passion. Being a teacher also provided her enough free time to engage with singing on the weekends, and Crow sang in local bands on the evenings and weekends. Crow started small, and with the help of a record producer, her first recording job was advertising jingles for McDonald’s and Toyota among others.
