#10: Leah Remini
Leah Remini was raised in Scientology after her mother joined when she was a child. As she built her career on The King of Queens and became a familiar television face, her identity as a Scientologist was woven into her personal and professional life, making her one of its recognizable celebrity members.

Remini left Scientology in 2013 and became its most famous critic. She authored a memoir and launched the Emmy-winning docuseries Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, exposing church practices and abuses. Her outspokenness transformed her from devoted member to one of the movement’s most persistent and high-profile opponents.
