#38: Touch of Yogurt shampoo
Back in 1979, Clairol boldly decided to revolutionize hair care with a quirky new product – Touch of Yogurt shampoo! However, consumers were left scratching their heads, unsure of what to make of this dairy-infused novelty. To add to the confusion, there were whispers of folks trying to snack on the shampoo, mistaking it for a tasty treat. This hair-raising tale of misunderstood innovation certainly leaves one chuckling!

In a twist of unfortunate events, their taste buds were in for a rather soapy surprise. The glaring “Clairol” label atop the bottle should have been a dead giveaway that it wasn’t a culinary delight. Yet, the word “yogurt”, emblazoned in even more prominent letters, proved to be a tantalizing trap. An understandable mix-up, but a grim reminder that not everything that glitters is, indeed, edible.
