Cruz, Depp, and Young were All on Set in 2001 When the Film was Released.
The film “Blow,” starring Johnny Depp as a small-town child who grows up to become a big-time drug dealer, was released in 2001. Co-starring with Depp in the picture was Penelope Cruz, a recent immigrant to the United States from Spain, where she had already achieved tremendous success before coming to the United States.
As a consequence of the film’s critical and economic success, Cruz got her first real taste of what it’s like working in the entertainment world. Once she had established herself as a household name in the early 2000s, Cruz continued to collaborate with A-listers until she was raised to the rank of stardom herself.
