#11: Anubis Crashes the Party
Among a lineup of cute witches and angels, one costume looms large: Anubis, the ancient Egyptian god of death. The towering black jackal head is so massive it practically swallows the kid wearing it. While everyone else looks ready for candy, Anubis looks ready to escort souls to the afterlife.

The contrast is hilarious and terrifying at the same time. Sweet little angels on one side, a cosmic underworld guardian on the other—it’s like mixing a daycare playdate with a museum exhibit on mummification. Trick-or-treating suddenly feels less about candy and more about preparing for eternity.
