#3: A Massive Pyramid Is Hidden Beneath A Mexican City
Buried under the city of Puebla lies the Great Pyramid of Cholula, the largest pyramid in the world by volume. It’s so massive that Spanish conquistadors never realized it was a pyramid at all and built a Catholic church right on top of it, unknowingly preserving its secret.

The pyramid is larger in volume than the Great Pyramid of Giza and is honeycombed with miles of hand-carved tunnels. Today, visitors can walk through portions of these tunnels, while much of the pyramid still lies buried beneath the modern city, silently guarding its ancient mysteries.
