#2: Island Of The Dolls Is Covered In Rotting Toys
Hidden in the canals of Xochimilco near Mexico City, the Island of the Dolls is covered with hundreds of decaying dolls hanging from trees. Their cracked faces and missing limbs sway in the breeze, creating an eerie atmosphere that has made it one of Mexico’s most unsettling tourist attractions.

The island’s caretaker, Don Julián Santana, began placing the dolls to honor a young girl who drowned nearby. He believed her spirit haunted the area and needed company. Strangely, Santana was later found dead in the same canal, adding a chilling twist to this already haunting destination.
